About Lou: Just looking at Lou's photos, you can tell what a beautiful and very happy, loving guy he is. He has been in a cage for most of his life, unfortunately. Recently, he was saved and eagerly seeking a new life with an owner (s) he can love. He is about 3 years old, has been neutered and is up to date on all shots. I think his best quality is that he really wants to please. He tries very hard to do what you tell him to do. He is smart and will play by himself with his toys for hours. He loves to play outside and will follow you around forever. He is very loyal and has the most beautiful ears that turn every which way when he hears something new. He is good in the car and an excellent traveler – just lies down and goes to sleep. Lou primarily wants to be with people. He doesn't pay too much attention to other dogs. In my opinion, he would be best suited for a family or single person who don't have any other dogs. If you have any questions or want to see Lou, please feel free to contact me.

She is house trained, and needs to be an inside/outside dog. She gets along with both children and adults. Do not know if she gets along with other animals. She LOVES people and wants to be around them all the time. She would fit best with owners who can play with her and give her the love and attention she'll give back to you.

"I come to you in desperate need of help. My name is Brett and I am a volunteer at North Central Animal Shelter in LA. I rescued Simba with the plan of fostering him until I could find him a more permanent home but unfortunately my landlord has since had a change of heart and does not feel comfortable with him there. I am currently boarding him instead of surrendering him to the pound to give me extra time to find him a new home but it is only a matter of time before I have to resort to the shelter. Simba is one of the sweetest dogs on the planet with people and he aims to please at every opportunity. He prefers to be an “only child” but could probably warm up to another dog if introduced properly. I hope you can see I am very dedicated to getting this special boy into the right hands. About Ozzy: Ozzie (aka Oscar) appears to be a Welsh Cardigan Corgi and Australian Cattle Dog Mix. He is about a year old. He’s neutered, UTD on shots, housetrained, and has obedience training. Ozzie is looking for a home where he has a job, otherwise he gets too bored and his natural herding instinct becomes a bit much to handle. Ozzie is super smart and has been a great little demo dog during my dog training classes, however, he does have some fear of men and children. Once he gets to know you, he is very loving. Previously he lived with a family who had two daughters. He loved everyone, but did not like the younger daughter’s friends over to visit. He thought they didn’t belong! Ozzie had a rough time getting crate trained, but did accomplish this! Otherwise, he picked up on his basics super fast! Oz needs an experienced home. He would love to learn agility and/or herding! If you’re looking for your next dog to train, this guy will give you years of fun!
Spunky

About Spunky: Spunky is a Rat Terrier Mix who also needs a loving home. Spunky is very bouncy and full of energy, but also extremely responsive and a great off leash companion (once he bonds with you). He is terrier but is good about sticking close by, unusual for this breed. He loves to go on long walks, play with other dogs, play with kids, and would also make a great first agility dog for an adult or child. He is crate trained and good about listening, but has not had much training. He does know sit, go kennel, and come pretty well though. He has some fear of new people and new surroundings, but would overcome this very quickly. He has come a long ways already! He is super fun and hilarious to watch! He loves “his” people and thinks the world of you once he knows you! Spunky is neutered, UTD on vaccines, and is approximately three years old. He still acts like a puppy though!

About Brutus: This sweet boy was found wandering in the riverbed dragging a 6' chain. According to locals, he had been there for 2 days in the scorching heat. A nice man & his fiance, who are volunteers with a German Shepherd Rescue, brought him home from the riverbed and called him Brutus. He is young- maybe 12-18 mos. He is VERY playful,energetic and has a nice-temperament. He runs with the family's pack 2 miles twice a day. he is very smart and catches on quickly. i worked him into a down stay on the mat while we ate our dinner. Brutus gets along with the 4 shepherds in his rescue home and is submissive to them. He is UTD on shots and will be neutered prior to being adopted. Please help Brutus find his way to a new home.
